Under the current Dean, Professor Ngozi Nnam, the series was kick-started on the 11th of February, 2015 by a Guest Lecturer in the person of the Dean of Social Sciences, Professor Ignatius Madu. Professor Madu talked on the “Place of Geography in Agricultural Research.” Since then, we have had Professor Agwu of Agricultural Extension talk on “Strengthening Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services: Challenges and Changing Paradigms”; Dr. (Mrs) Uche Onyechi of Home Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, on “Indigenous Foods and their Potential for Combating non-communicable diseases”, which was sponsored by Nestle Plc. On the 10th of November, 2015, Dr. C.U. Agbo of Crop Science, presented on ‘Ex-situ Conservation and heterosis breeding of plants – tools for crop conservation, improvement and utilization”
The next lecture will be presented by Dr. Anselm Onyimonyi of Animal Science Department. Dr. Onyimonyi will be talking on “Animal rights and their implication for human health”
